2018 Lincoln Navigator

It has been nearly 10 years since the Lincoln Navigator has gotten an upgrade. The 2018 model will bring a lot of new features that are exciting and, in many ways, completely reinvent the model. There are many new design features as well as technology features to enjoy. In fact, there are 75 new features and it definitely needed an upgrade. These are some of the main ones that you can look forward to with the new model year.

The Aluminum Body

This year, the new Lincoln Navigator will feature an all new aluminum body. As a result, it loses about 200 pounds of excess weight from the body. However, it will weigh about the same as the previous model because the design does include a new panoramic sunroof, a laminated windshield, and even some larger wheels.

The Signature Lincoln Grille

Over the past few years, you may have noticed that the grille for Lincoln vehicles has changed a few times. However, now the company has officially chosen the new signature grille and it will be featured on the new 2018 Lincoln Navigator. It will be a mesh grille that features the Lincoln logo in the center of it. This grille was originally put on the MKZ in 2016 and it will also be on the new Continental. An additional component of the grille is that each opening in it is actually an outline of the Lincoln star. This is the first time that a mesh grille will be added to an SUV in their line and it will look stunning. In addition to the signature grille, the SUV will also have two layers of LED headlights to fully finish off the look both during the day and at night.

The New Interior

Navigator Interior

It may come as no surprise but the inside of the 2018 Lincoln Navigator is just as big as the outside. With that comes a lot of new internal features that drivers get to enjoy. The center storage compartment is almost like a table and has bleached teak wood as the storage compartment doors. They can even be opened with push buttons and there are USB charging ports inside one of the compartments. You may start to think you are playing the piano instead of driving because of the horizontally designed set of keys that look like piano keys but are actually used to put the car into drive. There are four different driving modes for people to choose from including conserve, slippery, excite, and deep conditions. The new seats even have added comfort with new horizontal ribbing. To top it all off, there is a 10 inch infotainment screen and a 12 inch digital instrument display cluster so drivers and passengers always know what is going on.

All of the changes for the new 2018 Lincoln Navigator are very exciting and we cannot wait to see it in person. If you are interested in taking it for a test drive, be sure to contact us today.
